Hotel Description

A former palace dating from the 18th century and built from sandstone, the intimate Hotel As Janelas Verdes is situated on a pretty, cobbled street just 100 metres from the National Art Museum and one kilometre from Lisbon harbour. The 29 air-conditioned guestrooms have classic Portuguese décor with rich fabrics and dark wood furnishings. All come equipped with satellite television, Internet connections, blackout drapes and bathrooms with hair dryers, bathrobes and slippers.
Guests can enjoy al fresco breakfasts in the hotel's small garden on fine days, and help themselves to a drink from the honesty bars in the library and the living room. Filled with books, paintings and objets d'art, the library has views over the Tagus River. There is free wireless Internet for those with laptops. The concierge can assist with finding the local hot spots, and 24 hour room service is available for those after a late night bite to eat. For a nominal fee guests can use the facilities of a local health club situated one kilometre from the hotel.
